Thorns [Black Metal avant-gardiste]

Présentation:

Thorns is a Norwegian black metal band. They made two highly influential demos in the early 1990s, Grymyrk and Trøndertun, but have only officially released one recording since it was founded in 1989.

Formed by Snorre W. Ruch, Marius Vold and Faust (Bård G. Eithun) in 1989 under the moniker "Stigma Diabolicum". After the first demo was done, Stigma Diabolicum began dissolving, and after "Trøndertun" Snorre W. Ruch continued Thorns as a solo project, with help from several prominent personas in the black metal scene. The "release" of the now legendary demos/rehearsal tapes "Grymyrk" and "Trøndertun" in the early 1990s, had a great impact on the black metal scene.

After a long period of silence, Thorns reappeared in 1999 with the split album Thorns Vs Emperor, consisting mainly of old Thorns songs performed by Emperor and vice versa. Thorns Vs Emperor was meant to introduce Thorns to the scene and to a newer audience, unaware of Thorns earlier efforts. Then, in 2001, the long awaited debut album Thorns was released.

Mon avis:

Un groupe au son très particulier, "inhumain" ai-je déjà vu pour le qualifié...
Quoi qu'il en soit, çe donne très bien et j'adore !!!
Malheureusement je n'arrive pas à trouver leur album, et encore moins leurs demo, donc je ne connais que par des moyen détournés (myspace, youtube (cfr. plus bas), ou encore Thorns vs Emperor...

Le Emperor VS Thorns est bien fatal en effet. Donc ça pourrait être sympa d'en trouver plus en effet.

Il s'agit d'une intervieuw (en Anglais) de Snorre W. Ruch, très interessante je trouve.

Au passage après un bon moment de recherche, je suis enfin parvenu à trouver autre chose de Thorns dont l'album !!!
Ainsi que la demo tape Grymyrk, et un cd bonus à "Thorns vs Emperor" qui reprend Grymyrk et Trøndertun en un cd...
(Oui, bon d'accord.... µtorrent... Mais bon, allez-y pour trouver ça dans un magasin normal en Belgique aussi... )

Là je suis en train d'écouter Thorns, c'est vraiment très bon !!!

Par hasard, je suis tombé sur une nouvelle intervieuw, où il semblerait qu'un album est prévu pour "early next year" comme il dit...
L'intervieuw date de 2007, donc peut-être auront nous cet album fin 2008 !!!

Je dois admettre l'attendre avec une certaine impatience !
